Hello & Welcome

Welcome to a new semester and hopefully a new way for us to keep organized.

My goal for this blog is to help you keep up with my class. I will post important documents (hopefully) in a timely manner.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, I will post daily homework assignments, but as with everything in my class, it is ultimately your responsibility to write down your work; "You didn't post it" is not an acceptable excuse for not doing your homework. Since this is English class, you will frequently have reading due the next day.

For some assignments if you are in Honors or all reading assignments if you are in regular English, you may take notes on any reading assignments, but be sure to take notes on the actual reading and not the Sparknotes. I will purposely try to bust you. Sparknotes are meant to help, not replace, the actual assignment.

You may navigate this site by (duh) reading the titles of the posts, or when we have more posts, you may also use keywords-- check out the bubble with just a few words now. I will use keywords to designate what type of post it is (homework, notes, project, etc.), what unit of study it goes along with, and which class it pertains to. Use logic to find posts relevant to you... and if you have questions, ask at an appropriate time.

If you have any questions, please email me at lewisma at chatham.k12.nc.us.
If you must telephone, just know that an email will receive a speedier reply 100% of the time.
